Hi, my name is Richard Kanter. I am an artist, attorney and eternal student of energy. For me art reflects pure creative force. As an artist it all begins with the empty canvas and a meditational awareness; a space of nothingness, which allows for creation and re-creation (movements of energy).

What is sought is to see again - perceptions that weave together a glowing tapestry of color and love. Perhaps, the artist, a bit literally and figuratively moves through life in a “body of waves.” In quantum detail, our science is revealing that we are energetic beings composed of both particles and waves like light itself. We are the stuff of stars. And, for this artist, art is color and dynamics of shape, texture and form at play with light.

I have learned to trust my intuition when it comes to art and so by placing faith in the art, the art becomes faithful. I’ve discovered for myself in the art making process, a joy, a connection to the colors of life force energy and an empowering journey of transmitting and translating the beauty of seemingly hidden vibrations that exist around us at all times.

It is my heart’s desire to now let my works go and communicate through each that even with all the upheavals in our personal, professional, local, regional and global worlds that the Universe gifts each of us an ability to see, feel and sense beauty everywhere. With the hecticness and chaos of life, may art support your interest in connecting with your own personal power, peace and balance from inside and out.

ACHIEVMENTS:

I have been sharing my art more and more frequently since 2008 and I have been jurored as Best in Show for “Unfolding Seed” in June 2010 at The Roguespace Gallery in Chelsea, NY; had my art displayed digitally on the big screens in Times Square, NY in the Spring of 2012 for Art Takes Time Square; I have been published several times since 2013 in Franklin and Marshall College’s Alumni Arts Review, as well as, having my own solo, “Body of Waves” gallery show in Park Slope, Brooklyn this past 2018. I look forward to growing and showing even more moving forward.
